MEA Attestation

Visa Attestaion
The process of verifying a document to ensure it is recognized as authentic and legitimate by another country is known as attestation or legalization. This procedure is essential for documents intended for use in countries that are not members of the Hague Convention, which simplifies international document verification.

Attestation involves several steps to confirm the document’s validity. Typically, it starts with certification by local authorities, followed by authentication from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The MEA attests either the original document or a certified true copy, depending on the requirements of the receiving country. This attestation process guarantees that the document is recognized as genuine and legally valid for use abroad, facilitating international transactions, education, employment, and other cross-border activities. By completing the attestation, individuals ensure their documents meet the stringent standards required by foreign governments and institutions, promoting seamless international relations and interactions.
